Position: Senior Accountant

Purpose of the Position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for independently managing the accounts transactions of the organization and sending periodic reports to the management.

Scope

The Senior accountant would report to the Senior Manager Accounts and Finance and would be responsible for the financial transactions of the organization.

Job Description (Senior Accountant)

• Preparation of payroll statement and payroll checks
• Preparation of all other monthly payments like travel, communication of staff
• All statutory payments preparation and filing– PF, PT, TDS and processing the payments related to both salary as well as vendors where applicable.
• Preparation and management of program and personal advances
• Preparation and payment of monthly vendor payments
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports to the CEO
• Support in preparation of budget, Cashflows
• Preparation of Utilization Certificates
• Support for internal and statutory audits
• Entries of transactions related to Payroll and other monthly payments into ERP
• Lead, and Supervise of the documentation and accounting entries by the accountants
• Tracking of all advances - staff salary advances, & vendor advances
• Preparation and payment of rent, AMC contractor payments, Head office related vendor payments, communication etc.
• Preparation of monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Performing and managing of all accounting operations of Organization based on accounting principles and financial policies of the organization
• Data entry into the accounting system on daily basis without any delays
• Smooth functioning of accounts payables and receivables by preparation and reconciliation of the commitments and bills.

Qualification and Skills

• BCom / MCom
• Minimum 7 years of experience of working in accounts
• Knowledge of accounting software like TALLY, ERP,
• Knowledge of statutory compliances

Remuneration: Negotiable and depends on the candidate’s competence, experience levels
