Job Description

Applications are invited to attend walk-in interview for the post of Senior Research Fellow(SRF) available at ICAR-IARI, Regional Station, Wellington under ongoing and approved CRP project entitled “Development and evaluation of high yielding and nutrient rich Oats variety for value addition” purely on contractual basis.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Essential Qualifications:

• Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Master’s degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding / Agricultural Biotechnology with 4/5 years Bachelor’s degree OR Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences (Plant Sciences/Plant Biotechnology) those with 3 years Bachelor’s & 2 years of Master's degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in SR/S9/Z-09/2018 dated 30 January 2019 and DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26-6-2023 of DST.

Desirable:

• Experience in crop breeding, MAB, use of bioinformatics tools, field pheno-typing, handling of field crops and knowledge of computer application etc.,

Salary

Rs.37,000/- + HRA pm
