Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Research Officer with a PhD in public health with 4+ years of postdoctoral experience in public health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research skills and a proven track record in conducting high-quality research in public health. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing research projects

Job Responsibilities

• Research Design and Implementation: Able to independently manage research projects from inception to completion.
• Develop research proposals, protocols, and methodologies and be able to conduct literature reviews as per the research design.
• Oversee and participate in data collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare detailed high-quality reports, manuscripts, and presentations and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Present findings at national/ international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and build relationships with key partners to bring more business to the organization.
• Mentor and build competency of team members.
• Manage project budget, timelines, and resources and ensure compliance with organizational requirements

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• PhD in Health Systems, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience OR Master’s in Public Health with at least 7 years of research experience

Experience:

• Must have:
• Proven at least 7-8 years of experience in writing proposals, designing, and conducting research studies across different regions

Desirable:

• Prior work experience in health systems research and implementation research is desirable
• Exposure to Design thinking methodology and implementation of projects
• At least 4 Publications in peer-reviewed journals including quantitative/qualitative studies

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent research and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS/R/STATA).
• Experience in Tableau/Python/Power BI/data visualization tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Commitment to ethical research practices.
• Ability to travel, if required.
