Job Description
Below is an indicative set of responsibilities you will be required to contribute to as part of this role. We believe that a job description is best created collaboratively where the individual joining the team and the senior leadership team together define the role in greater detail so it reflects your aspirations and ambitions as much as it does the organisation’s needs. A detailed description can be jointly created once the selection process has been completed and you have accepted our offer of employment.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include
- Conduct internal impact evaluations of programs and optimal A/B testing on relevant program features to optimise design.
- Perform advanced analytics using research and secondary data
- Research design: Supporting pilot M&E review/design of monitoring instruments & research instruments for mixed-method research
- Literature reviews: Scoping and conducting relevant literature reviews/annotated bibliography around Madhi’s current programmes
- Contribute to streamlining of existing data flow; creating data manuals/guidebooks.
- With guidance, migrate data from existing google sheets to DBMS platforms (example for the community volunteer program).
- Implement data quality assurance protocols.
- Capacity building: Supporting training for data collection as needed.
- Manage a small and dedicated team to analyse large data sets and create comprehensive reports utilising visualised data
- Support respective team members to organise qualitative data collection activities (ie- FGDs, discussion forums etc).
- Establish systems and processes to capture learnings from implementation and help the team make incremental changes to the programme to improve process and impact outcomes
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Are passionate about exploring the niche area where fieldwork meets research
- Can conceptualise and report insights from pilot research studies, designed at strengthening existing systems and practices
- Can creatively communicate insights for different audiences
- Are highly planned, organised, methodical, meticulous and detail oriented
- Thrive in a deadline oriented environment
- Can storytell well, both verbally, in writing and visually; have proficiency in oral communication in Tamil
Prerequisites include:
- A Master's degree preferably in the humanities or social sciences with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Experience and interest in data collection in the field
- Experience and interest in secondary research would be an asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and Google Suite
