Job Position
Sr. Associate – Public Infrastructure
Location: Ahmedabad, Guwahati
Salary: INR 3.50 LPA to 5.40 LPA (Depending on Experience)
Role Overview
The Senior Associate – Public Infrastructure will be responsible for supporting and independently coordinating the planning, execution, monitoring, and quality management of CSR-supported public infrastructure and civil works projects across multiple locations.
The role will involve working on projects such as:
- Renovation and upgradation of government schools and healthcare facilities
- Construction and improvement of WASH infrastructure
- Check dams and water conservation structures
- Community infrastructure and public utility projects
- Climate-resilient and sustainability-linked civil infrastructure
The ideal candidate should have strong civil engineering and project execution knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, government stakeholders, implementation partners, and CSR teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Public Infrastructure Project Management
- Lead and coordinate execution of civil infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
- Support assessment of project sites and identify technical and infrastructure requirements.
- Review and support preparation of drawings, BOQs, cost estimates, technical specifications, and project plans.
- Develop and monitor project execution schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
2. Site Execution & Quality Management
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and execution quality.
- Ensure construction activities adhere to approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Monitor workmanship, material quality, measurements, and construction practices.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Ensure appropriate health, safety, and environmental practices at project sites.
- Review contractor bills, measurement records, work completion reports, and supporting documentation.
3. Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate closely with:
- Civil contractors and vendors
- Field engineers and supervisors
- Implementation partners
- Government departments and local authorities
- CSR teams and corporate stakeholders
- Community representatives
Evaluate contractor performance and support resolution of execution-related issues.
Facilitate coordination between technical teams, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
4. WASH, Water & Sustainable Infrastructure
- Support implementation of WASH infrastructure in schools, healthcare facilities, and communities.
- Coordinate execution of water conservation structures such as check dams, recharge structures, and related interventions.
- Promote practical and sustainable approaches to water management and infrastructure development.
- Support integration of climate-resilient, resource-efficient, and environmentally sustainable practices into projects.
5. Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and milestones.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, site visit reports, MIS updates, and project status reports.
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, BOQs, measurements, photographs, approvals, and completion records.
- Develop project dashboards and highlight risks, delays, quality concerns, and required interventions to management.
- Support project audits, technical assessments, and closure processes.
6. Program Design & Proposal Support
- Contribute technical inputs for the development of CSR infrastructure proposals and project concepts.
- Conduct preliminary site assessments and feasibility reviews.
- Support preparation of project budgets, technical scopes, implementation plans, and timelines.
- Provide technical recommendations based on community needs and site conditions.
- Contribute to developing scalable and sustainable public infrastructure models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Additional qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Water Management, or related fields will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure, construction, public infrastructure, or development-sector projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in site execution and project coordination.
- Experience in school, hospital, community, WASH, water conservation, or other public infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, field engineers, and implementation partners.
- Exposure to CSR, NGO, government, or development-sector projects will be an advantage.
