Reporting to: Director – Livelihoods Role Purpose
The Head – Training, Livelihoods will drive the strategic design, delivery, and impact of training programs for livelihood staff. This role emphasizes capacity building, program quality, team leadership, and fostering innovation in training methodologies to realize Magic Bus’s mission of empowering youth for sustainable livelihoods. The role also includes efficient program management, monitoring data, and managing budgets to ensure high-impact outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Training Content Development
- Ideate, conceptualize, and develop comprehensive training modules for livelihood staff, including Managers, Trainers, Centre Coordinators, and Placement Officers.
- Align training content with emerging industry trends and the needs of target beneficiaries.
Capacity Building and Mentorship
- Lead the capacity-building initiatives for livelihood staff to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency in program delivery.
- Mentor team members to support their professional development and performance.
Team Leadership
- Supervise a dynamic team of trainers and program staff.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment to drive results.
Program Quality Assurance
- Conduct periodic audits and competency assessments to maintain program excellence.
- Establish and enforce quality benchmarks and standards for training delivery.
Learning Workshops and Innovation
- Organize need-based workshops to address emerging program challenges.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and growth within the team.
Program Management
- Monitor training data, tracking participant progress and program outcomes.
- Oversee budgets for training initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to assess the impact of training initiatives and incorporate feedback into future planning.
- Use data insights to refine training content and delivery methodologies.
Collaboration and Partnerships
- Work with cross-functional teams to align training with broader organizational goals.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with NGOs, training institutions, and industry leaders to amplify program reach and quality.
Desired Competencies

- Good know how on MS office suite and data analysis tools.

Qualification and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Education, Training & Development, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of Pan India experience in training, capacity building, and team leadership, preferably in livelihoods or related sectors.
- Demonstrated success in designing and executing large-scale training programs.
- Strong understanding of socio-emotional learning, life skills, employability, and workplace readiness training.
- Willingness to continuous travel.
