About the Organization
National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) is a Govt. of India undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, working for the upliftment of economic status of the poor amongst the Backward Classes by providing concessional financial assistance to the target group through the Channel Partners, Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) and Public Sector Banks (PSBs). The Corporation additionally undertakes Skill Development and other promotional activities for its target groups as defined by Government from time to time.
Job Description
The Corporation is looking for Young Associate/Young Professional from Open Market, purely on contract basis initially for a period of 01 year, expertise in monitoring and evaluation related works. He/she will play a key role in the implementation of SEED Scheme's components. This position requires an experienced, dedicated, hardworking and efficient person in relevant field. A brief job description is as below:-
Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
- To conduct comprehensive research on government schemes, policies, and programs that can benefit DNT's.
- To identify opportunities for improvement and convergence of multiple schemes to maximize benefits for the DNT communities.
- To prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and recommendations based on research findings.
Field Visits and Verification:
- To plan and conduct field visits to various states to monitor and verify the onground work of NGOs.
- To evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of projects implemented by NGOS.
- To collect qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, surveys, and observations during field visits.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaison with civil society organisation, NGO representatives, and community leaders to gather insights and foster collaborations.
- To organize and participate in community meetings, workshops, and audits related to DNT welfare and development.
Reporting and Documentation:
- To maintain accurate and detailed records of field visits, research findings, and stakeholder interactions
- To prepare presentations and reports and share with the NBCFDC/DNT Board, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- To develop case studies, success stories, and best practices based on field experiences.
Capacity Building:
- To provide training and support to NGO partners on data collection, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies as well as updation of data DWBDNC website/Portal.
- To assist in the development of tools and resources to enhance the capacity of NGOs working with DNTs.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Anthropology etc., or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research, fieldwork, and project evaluation, preferably in the social development sector.
- Understanding of government schemes and policies related to marginalized communities, particularly DNTs.
- Excellent research, analytical, presentation and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to travel extensively and work in remote and rural areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi, knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
Desirable Attributes
- Prior experience working with DNTs or similar marginalized communities.
- Knowledge of M&E, Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach.
