Job Description/Responsibilities

LMS Platform Enhancement and Digital Curriculum Development

  • Improve platform efficacy and stakeholder adoption.
  • Ensure a rigorous feedback mechanism for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and migrate training modules to a digital format suitable for platform use.
  • Build multi-language support, accessibility features (e.g., for hearing- or visually impaired users), and a mobile-optimized interface in collaboration with vendors.
  • Manage training schedules and ensure the timely delivery of training on the platform.
  • Identify gaps and develop additional curricula based on stakeholder needs assessments.

Collaborate with Program Teams:

  • Identify key content areas aligned with UN Women’s strategic priorities (e.g., gender equality, economic empowerment, safety, peace and security).
  • Develop modular, flexible, and localized digital learning content.

Convert Existing Materials:

  • Transform face-to-face training materials into high-quality online modules with clear learning objectives, interactive elements, and multimedia integration.
  • Ensure cultural relevance and accessibility of training content.

Knowledge Management and Digital Learning Content Dissemination

Develop a Comprehensive KM Framework:

  • Establish a centralized repository for all training materials, research, reports, and digital assets to ensure easy access.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration for sharing resources, tools, and insights.
  • Implement best practices for knowledge sharing, storage, and retrieval.
  • Oversee Content Curation and Organization:
  • Ensure consistency and relevance in training materials.
  • Work with the Communications team to align knowledge materials with organizational messaging and strategic goals.

Efficient Digital Asset Management:

  • Implement structured systems for storing and retrieving digital content.
  • Develop lifecycle management processes for digital assets from creation to archiving.

Capacity-Building, Engagement and Feedback

Facilitate Online Workshops and Training Sessions:

  • Organize interactive capacity-building workshops and webinars.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine training content and delivery methods.
  • Establish a Feedback Mechanism:
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback to improve learning programs and platform functionality.

Monitoring, Reporting and Impact Assessment

Define Clear Metrics for Impact Assessment:

  • Track engagement, completion rates, and interaction with content.
  • Measure learner progress, skill acquisition, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Utilize Analytics for Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor platform usage, assess popular content, and analyze training outcomes.
  • Provide periodic impact reports to senior management, stakeholders, and donors.

Collaboration, Sustainability and Scalability

Engage with External Partners:

  • Collaborate with educational institutions, tech companies, and NGOs to enrich training content and enhance platform capabilities.
  • Ensure cross-sector collaboration to cater to the diverse needs of different groups.
  • Plan for Future Growth:
  • Ensure platform scalability to accommodate increased user engagement and content volume.
  • Establish content update mechanisms to maintain relevance.
  • Secure funding and resources to sustain expansion efforts.

Risk Management and Troubleshooting

  • Identify potential risks (e.g., technological barriers, low engagement) and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Establish user support systems, including a help desk, user guides, and troubleshooting resources.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Qualification: A Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, Gender Studies, Communication, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualification: Additional coursework or certifications in Knowledge Management, Learning Technologies, or Project Management would be beneficial.
  • Data Analytics: Knowledge of tools for analyzing LMS usage and learning data (e.g., Google Analytics, etc.).

Experience:

Minimum Experience

  • 7 years in a relevant role, with a focus on digital learning, knowledge management, or content development for large-scale programs.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in managing eLearning platforms, content development, and curriculum design.
  • Experience working with stakeholders from diverse sectors (e.g., NGOs, international organisations, government, private sector) and managing capacity-building initiatives.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and digitally transforming training programs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in scaling online training programs, particularly in gender equality or development sectors.
  • Experience in designing and managing large-scale digital transformation projects with a focus on user-centric design, scalability, and accessibility.
  • Knowledge of international development, particularly around gender equality, women’s empowerment, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, working with content creators, IT specialists, and external partners to ensure the success of digital programs.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, including strong English writing skills, is required
  • Fluency in Hindi and/or another Indian language is required
  • Knowledge of another UN official working language is an asset.
