BharatCares, in a CSR partnership with one of India’s leading companies, invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from eligible and experienced vendors for content curation and in-person delivery of a Drone / Aviation Technology training program at Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Purpose of the EOI

The purpose of this EOI is to:

  • Empanel qualified vendors for Drone / Aviation Technology training
  • Identify partners capable of end-to-end content curation and hands-on, in-person delivery
  • Ensure 100% learner-level practical exposure, wherein every student is able to assemble and fly a drone by the end of the program

Program Overview

  • Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu
  • Total learners: 100 students
  • Delivery mode: In-person, offline sessions only
  • Training nature: Practical, hands-on, lab-based
  • Indicative duration: ~20 hours (to be delivered over multiple days)

Mandatory learning outcome:
Each student must individually assemble and fly a drone during the training program.

Scope of Engagement

A. Content Curation

The vendor will be responsible for curating and structuring the complete training content, aligned to beginner/intermediate learners and hands-on delivery.

This includes:

  • Designing a 20-hour training curriculum covering theory and practical components
  • Developing session plans, trainer guides, and hands-on lab workflows
  • Ensuring alignment with industry practices and DGCA guidelines
  • Structuring content to enable batch-wise delivery and individual learner participation

The curated content will be reviewed and finalized jointly with BharatCares prior to delivery.

Indicative training areas include:

  • Drone ecosystem and UAV fundamentals
  • Types of UAVs and real-world applications
  • Basics of flight science (lift, thrust, drag – applied understanding)
  • Drone anatomy and components
  • Safety protocols and DGCA regulations (India context)
  • Assembly, wiring, soldering, and mounting (hands-on)
  • Flight controller setup, firmware, and calibration
  • Manual hover tests, stick control, and basic flight testing
  • Supervised flying sessions for all learners
  • Career pathways and industry orientation

B. Training Delivery

The vendor will be responsible for end-to-end, in-person delivery of the training program.

Batch-Wise Delivery Model

  • Training will be delivered in batches of up to 10 students at a time.
  • For each active batch:
  1. A mandatory trainer-to-student ratio of 1:10 must be maintained
  2. A qualified trainer must be present throughout assembly, calibration, and flying sessions
  • For the full cohort of 100 students, trainers may be deployed in staggered batches, provided the ratio is maintained at all times.

Batch schedules and timelines will be finalized jointly prior to program commencement.

Vendor Responsibilities (High-Level)

The selected vendor will be responsible for:

  • Curation and structuring of the complete training content
  • In-person, offline delivery at the client-provided lab
  • Deployment of qualified trainers as per the batch model
  • Provision of adequate drone kits, tools, batteries, spares, and consumables
  • Ensuring each student assembles and flies a drone under supervision
  • Adherence to DGCA-aligned safety protocols during all flying activities
  • Coordination with BharatCares for scheduling and on-ground execution
  • Support for basic learner participation tracking and reporting

Desired Vendor Profile

Interested vendors should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in drone / aviation technology training
  • Proven experience in content development and hands-on drone programs
  • Prior work with colleges, government institutions, or CSR-funded programs preferred
  • Availability of trained and certified drone trainers
  • Capability to manage large cohorts through structured batch-wise delivery
  • Strong safety, compliance, and risk-management practices

  • Company PAN Card
  • Company Registration Certificate
  • GST Registration Certificate
  • Balance Sheets for the last 3 financial years
  • Details of the last 3 relevant drone training projects, with references
  • A brief note covering:
  1. Proposed content structure and curriculum outline
  2. Trainer profiles
  3. Batch-wise delivery approach
  4. Drone kit and hardware availability

Commercial details, if required, will be sought at a later stage from shortlisted vendors.
