Scope of Work

Title – Onboarding Monitoring & Facilitating partner for project Nand Ghar

About Nand Ghar - Project Nand Ghar, Vedanta’s flagship CSR initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, is a transformative model of modern Anganwadis focused on advancing health, nutrition, education, and women’s economic empowerment. With over 10,000 centers developed across India, Nand Ghar goes beyond service delivery to drive systemic and sustainable community transformation.

Program Objective – To assess & monitor the state of Nand Ghars and wherever necessary, provide required input to sustain the physical, programmatic and communication aspects surrounding the Nand Ghar. Thus, ensuring a continued presence and sustaining impact of the program.

Project Monitoring & Support

Assessment Framework Development

  • Develop and share a detailed assessment framework for data analysis.
  • Design a comprehensive survey methodology, including data collection, Case Study, Testimonials and survey instrument design, and CAPI tools.

Survey of Sustained (Handed Over) Nand Ghars

  • Conduct monitoring of Nand Ghars, on a ‘call-out Basis’ to ensure sustained operation and maintenance.
  • Use a comprehensive questionnaire/relevant tools to assess status and drive necessary corrective actions (as approved by Nand Ghar team)
  • Surveys to include data on structure, infrastructure, assets, services, and other specified parameters.
  • Gap Finding: Post conducting data collection of surveys directed, the agency should share a preliminary analysis report of the data so found. Identifying and documenting the gaps between Nand Ghar attainable standards and the status based on the data analysis.
  • Ensure data collection and reporting is through tech platform and includes geo-location, timestamps, and photos (interior and exterior) of Nand Ghars, as well as key infrastructure like drinking water equipment/source and toilets. Submit a final report with corrective actions.

  • Undertake pan India Delivery, Distribution and Installation drives of Assets/Consumables/Program Based materials in Nand Ghars.
  • Liaise with ICDS, PRI, Local Govt. officials for alignment on reports, permissions, and task implementation orders.

  • Organize Pan India theme-based events (Celebrations, VIP visits, Volunteer visits, Theme based days and felicitations etc.) and activities at Nand Ghar

Local News Amplification & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Amplify local news coverage by engaging with newspapers to highlight events and interventions at Nand Ghars.
  • Engage with diverse group of stakeholders including community, line departments and local influential people.

Support volunteering activities and handholding of Nand Ghar communication related events

  • Provide handholding support to volunteers and influencers/visitors visiting
  • Nand Ghars including their schedule, travel and activities to be held at Nand Ghar.

Note: The tasks outlined above are indicative in nature and not exhaustive.

Deliverables

  1. Prepare and submit a comprehensive Assessment framework
  2. Cover 300 Nand Ghar/Month through the Assessment framework and submit report with actionable on call out basis –
  3. Undertake distribution and installation drives of Assets/Consumables/Program Based materials on call out basis.
  4. Undertake need based task such as Celebratory events, Visits, Community and local influencer engagement etc on call out basis. Ensure at least 2 such drives/events per month.
  5. Branding and communication collaterals, including photo stories, short videos, and IEC materials aligned with Vedanta/Nand Ghar guidelines.
  6. Government and other stakeholder convergence wherever feasible.

Reporting and Review

  1. Monthly Progress Report & MIS – Target vs Actuals and overall progress of the project with appropriate backups. Detailed and comprehensive MIS of all listed deliverables and activities.
  2. Annually – Annual Report with appropriate backups.
  3. Project Completion- Phase Closure Report after the completion of Project duration.
  4. Communication - Second party will make a special effort to submit good photographs, Case studies videos and other documentation to First party over the course of the project. First party will have the right to use all such material and reports in its own publications, websites, etc. with due acknowledgement to the implementation partner.
  5. Audits – The AAF has the right to get external audits done and evaluations for the project at any time. If AAF wishes to review the records pertaining to the project, it will do so at a time and place agreed in advance between the parties.

General Considerations

  • Project duration is 36 Months
  • Nand Ghar will not be responsible for any costs incurred by applicants in preparing, submitting, or negotiating proposals related to this SOW.
  • Proposal must demonstrate the financial stability and resource adequacy of the organization to complete the project within the agreed timeline and payment terms. Nand Ghar reserves the right to review up to the last three financial statements and audit reports, including annexures, if necessary, as part of the evaluation process.
  • Nand Ghar and Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF) have established brand guidelines that must be adhered to when representing the Foundation’s brand.
  • Nand Ghar shall reserve the following co-branding rights in relation to the women empowerment Project, and the program of an initiative to support project during the term of the Agreement at no liability or cost overheads:
  • Appropriate display of Nand Ghar logo on the backdrop of all workshops / events.
  • Nand Ghar logo on awareness building collateral, including pamphlets, posters, internal publications, newsletters, and other media channels, etc. 
  • Any physical delivery made as part of this project shall prominently content and display the names of Nand Ghar.
  • NG would also be provided with ample visibility during the activities through inclusion of the logo on the banners. Support of projects would also be acknowledged through a mention on our website and Facebook account, and mention in Magazine, Newsletter and Annual Report.
  • Agency must seek Nand Ghar’s prior approval in relation to the manner of use of the logo, brand, or name in any marketing, promotional, or informative material in connection with the Project.
  • Nand Ghar will retain ownership of all copyrights, patents, proprietary rights, and trademarks related to any products, documents, or materials produced during the execution of the contract.
  • All plans, reports, recommendations, estimates, and other documents produced by the service providers under the contract will remain the property of NG and must be treated as confidential.
  • All confidential materials should be handed over to the relevant NG representatives both during and after the completion of the project.
