Job Description

The position is suitable for candidates with strong academic credentials and an interest in an academic career. The role is a platform to develop research and teaching skills by working under close supervision of IIMB faculty. Subject to performance, the role can prepare incumbents for admissions to leading PhD programs in India, Asia, and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

• The candidate is required to provide research and teaching support to the faculty depending on the requirements of the faculty and on all aspects of their workflows
• Indicative but non-exhaustive list of duties includes: collecting data from secondary sources such as the internet and databases; designing interviews and surveys and collecting primary data; cleaning and merging datasets; reviewing academic literature; supporting teaching delivery and exam marking
• To assist with administrative duties of the institute as and when assigned from time to time

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Candidates are required to hold a master’s degree in Management or Social Sciences or Statistics or Economics or Mathematics or Engineering or Science.
• Candidates with Four-year Undergraduate program with distinction from well rated academic institutions are also eligible to apply, if the degree was earned in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
• Familiarity with relevant computer skills will be a plus, such as:
• Data scraping using R or Python
• Statistical analysis using STATA
• Automating basic tasks using AI tools and agents
• Comfortable with and willing to learn quantitative research methods and research software; excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to accuracy

The closing date for applications is 11 February 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated. The selection procedure may comprise interviews with IIMB faculty and short tasks assigned to test functional competence. • Diploma/Graduation - All semester wise Marksheets & Final Diploma/Degree Certificate.
• Masters/Post-Graduation - All semester wise Marksheets & Final Degree Certificate.
• Project experience – Reports of coding or data-analysis project, research assistantship, summer internship, etc.
