We are seeking a Graphic Designer who can translate our work into powerful visual stories across reports, events, campaigns, and digital platforms. This is not your typical agency or product design role – you’ll be part of shaping communication that drives real-world change.
Job Description
The Energy Program at CEED focuses on advancing India’s clean energy transition through innovative research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The program aligns with national and subnational energy strategies to foster sustainable energy pathways and address climate change challenges.
The Associate – Energy will play an important role in supporting CEED’s energy program by conducting in-depth research, analysing energy transition policies, and contributing to the organisation’s efforts toward a clean and sustainable energy future.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research on energy policies, regulations, and reforms to enhance renewable energy adoption and energy efficiency.
- Analyze socio-economic impacts of energy transitions and assess electricity sector governance.
- Develop and maintain input databases, simulate modeling scenarios, and derive policy insights.
- Monitor and analyze state and national energy policies and their implementation.
- Support policy research on energy and electricity with a focus on decarbonization and green energy development.
- Liaise with government departments to provide technical inputs aligning CEED’s goals with policy priorities.
- Identify topics for knowledge products and assist in creating high-quality reports and publications.
- Present research findings through knowledge products, stakeholder meetings, and workshops.
- Assist in organizing events, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Foster partnerships with government bodies, industries, and civil society organizations.
- Support stakeholder meetings to address energy transition objectives and challenges.
- Contribute to program communication and engagement activities.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by program leadership, including traveling to project sites when necessary.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in energy, renewable energy, energy economics, policy, or a related field.
- Experience in the energy/power sector, with exposure to clean energy and energy efficiency projects.
- Knowledge of energy transition policies, electricity governance, and sustainable development.
- Technical skills in research methods, including cost-benefit analysis and modelling. Proficiency in software tools such as Excel is essential, and familiarity with Python, GIS, or Matlab is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; proficiency in additional languages is desirable.
