About the Organization

The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 as a not-for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M. S. Swaminathan. The Foundation aims to accelerate the use of modern science for agricultural and rural development throughthe development and dissemination of technology to improve the lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF follows a pro-poor, pro-women, and pro-nature approach and applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, food, and nutrition.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Sustainable Community led Interventions for Tribal Health Resilience in two blocks of Koraput district, Odisha

This project aims to improve health resilience among tribal communities in Dasmantapur and Lamtaput blocks of Koraput district, Odisha, through sustainable, community-led interventions. By integrating local knowledge with public health systems, the project seeks to create a replicable model that addresses critical health challenges such as malnutrition, anaemia, maternal and child health, and infectious disease outbreaks

Assist the State Programme Manager in the implementation of the project activities-

• Oversee all project and data collection activities.
• Esnure proper collection, cleaning, storage and secure transmission of data to the head office
• Regularly update the management Informatin System (MIS) and manage
• Design, implement, and analyze research studies.
• Prepare statistical analysis plans and reports.
• Support grant proposals and scientific publications with statistical input.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Desirable Qualification :   

• Proficiency in one of the statistical software/tools such as SAS, R, STATA, SPSS, or Python for data analysis.
• Ability to manage large datasets, perform data cleaning, and ensure data integrity.
• Good understanding of core statistical methods, including descriptive and inferential statistics, regression analysis, survival analysis, longitudinal analysis, and multivariate techniques.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.

• Candidates employed in any organization must bring a “No Objection Certificate” from their current employer.
• Candidates working at MSSRF should submit applications through their reporting authority.
• Original certificates must be produced at the time of interview for verification.
• Selected candidates are expected to join duty within 15 days.
