Position Summary

SwitchON Foundation is looking for a Digital Content & SEO Associate to support its communications and digital outreach efforts. This role focuses on creating high-quality, SEO-optimised content that strengthens SwitchON’s online presence and communicates its work in climate action, clean energy, green livelihoods, and community development.

The role requires translating field insights, program data, and technical themes into clear, engaging, and human-centred digital content across websites, social media platforms, and communication collateral. The candidate will work closely with the Communications, Program, and Design teams to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organisational messaging.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented content professional who understands the basics of SEO, digital publishing, and performance tracking, and is eager to grow within the development and climate communication space.

Key Responsibilities

● Digital Content Creation

- Create SEO-optimised content for website pages, blogs, case studies, and social media platforms.

- Adapt field insights, data, and program updates into simple, compelling, human-centred stories.

- Support creation of scripts and content for videos, reels, campaigns, and digital outreach.

● SEO & Website Support

- Conduct basic keyword research and apply on-page SEO practices (keywords, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking).

- Support content publishing and updates on CMS platforms.

- Assist in maintaining content accuracy, consistency, and readability across digital channels.

● Social Media & Campaign Content

- Write platform-specific posts aligned with communication goals and audience behaviour.

- Support planning and execution of content calendars for digital platforms. - Assist in campaign-based content creation and dissemination.

● Documentation & Coordination

- Support documentation and proofreading of communication materials including annual reports, brochures, pamphlets, and leaflets.

- Coordinate with program, design, and outreach teams to gather content inputs. - Track basic content performance metrics and support learning-based improvements.

Qualifications

● Mandatory

- Hands-on experience in content writing, digital media, or SEO.

● Education

- Formal degree is flexible; candidates with practical experience are preferred. - Training or certification in digital marketing or SEO is an added advantage.

● Language

- English: strong written proficiency required.

- Hindi or Bengali preferred.

● Other Requirements

- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

- Basic understanding of SEO concepts such as keywords, on-page optimisation, and search intent.

- Familiarity with AI tools for content research, drafting, optimisation, and performance improvement (used ethically and responsibly).

- Comfort with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows.

- Basic understanding of social media platforms and content formats.

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content tasks

collaboratively.

Compensation

Monthly remuneration of ₹25,000 – ₹30,000, based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Reporting To

Communications Team / Leadership

Travel Requirements

Occasional field visits as per project and communication requirements.
