AI, Learning & Rural Futures

What should education look like right now ? What is the future we are preparing for ? How should we be living ? What will meaningful work look like ?

Jaaga Study is having a reboot. We are exploring these themes now in the context of strong AI, climate change, crowded cities, and the general landscape of 2025.

We would like to host online studygroups, hackathons, project showcases and other activities that help people learn to use AI effectively in their lives, explore non-urban lifestyles, and connect with other people with shared interests.

We would like to curate useful information from the web, and create original content useful to people on this journey. We would like to identify and support people already involved with AI education, socially responsible applications of AI, community support for online learners, and offline gathering places for online learners.

We’re looking for a Program Manager to help develop this vision. They should be open to free ranging conversations about what could be, and practical minded to help organize ideas into coherent actionable programs, events and collaborations.

🧭 What Needs Doing

Help shape and run initiatives like hackathons, fellowships, online workshops, residencies, project showcases, and internships.
Map the ecosystem of people and communities rethinking learning, from homeschooling networks to AI-first bootcamps and rural maker spaces.
Set up systems (Discord, Notion, AI agents, social channels) that keep our community connected and our knowledge organized.
Collaborate with AI tools and devs to build bots that gather links, track emerging projects, and surface opportunities.
Coordinate communications podcasts, blog posts, social media, and newsletters.
Help us design a fair and creative process for grants, prizes, and collaborations.

Enjoy research, writing, and creative coordination.
Are comfortable working async and experimenting with AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion AI, n8n, etc.).
Have some background in program design, community building, or creative project management.
