Job Description
We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Safety Manager to ensure the safety and security of our rural crèches. The role involves conducting risk assessments, guiding caregivers and supervisors, monitoring infrastructure, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. This is a critical role that contributes directly to the well-being and protection of young children in our programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide supportive supervision and safety oversight to crèche staff.
- Conduct monthly safety audits and implement corrective actions.
- Assess creche infrastructure and recommend safety-related improvements.
- Ensure emergency preparedness including fire safety, first aid, and hygiene standards.
- Organize community-led safety audits and build risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct safety training and orientation for caregivers and program staff.
- Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, and child protection bodies.
- Address safety-related grievances and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain safety documentation and incident reporting records.
- Monitor compliance with The POCSO Act, 2012 and internal safeguarding protocols.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Disaster Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in child protection, safety management, or related roles.
- Experience working in field-based or community-level programs, preferably with children.
- Knowledge of relevant safety laws, particularly the POCSO Act, and emergency response frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
