About the Organization

Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam legislative Assembly. The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full fledged state University as per the provision of the Act.

About the Call for Papers

The goal of the knowledge festival is to create, foster and promote knowledge exchange, solution sharing and partnership building for achievement of social development priorities and key Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 in contemporary BTR and the world.

It aims to draw the best practices from across the world to enhance scientific temperament for creation of “Peaceful, Green and Smart Bodoland” in the light of the Bodo Peace Accord 2020. It seeks to provide a platform for thought leaders, educators, researchers and practitioners to engage with constituents of Higher Education Institutions in BTR through participation in interactive and collaborative workspace, discussions and presentations. It will provide avenues for participants to learn the latest perspectives and trends on a given domain of knowledge, methodology and practice pertaining to the SDGs and other priorities, and opportunities for networking and developing collaborative initiatives for the future. A plethora of sessions aiming to encourage spontaneous and informal exchange of ideas and discussions for deepening ties and partnerships will be a key feature of the International Knowledge Fest Bodoland 2023.

Objectives:

• Expert Talks: Drawing from the expertise of practitioners and academics in relevant thematic areas to enhance epistemic dialogue across cultures and communities.
• Dialouge: Creating an atmosphere of dialogue and participatory priority‐setting for addressing concerns of contemporary human society which would promote scientific temperament to address social and economic concerns of the society in a post-conflict scenario.
• Praxis: Documenting the knowledge exchange for continued learning and praxis: knowledge-action-reflection by different communities of practice in BTR.

How to Apply

Contributors are requested to send their abstract (Max 250 words) and extended abstract (Max 1500 words) OR Full Paper at the e-mail IDs of the theme coordinator that are mentioned below under each thematic areas. The Papers have to be submitted in Microsoft Word (Doc./Docx.) format. The body of the manuscript must be in “Times New Roman” font , font size 12 , line spacing 1.5 and alignment “justify”. The top , bottom , left and right page margins should be 2.50 cms. The paper has to be original and free from plagiarism. The contributors must mention their name and affiliation along with 4 to 5 keywords and the theme and sub-theme must be specified.

Abstract along with Extended Abstract OR full paper should be sent on or before 6th February, 2023.
