About the Organization

Welthungerhilfe, originally founded in the sixties as the National Committee of the FAO Freedom from Hunger Campaign and earlier called “German Agro Action”, is a secular, non-profit organization working in the field of international development cooperation and emergency aid. Welthungerhilfe’s patron is the President of the federal Republic of Germany. Welthungerhilfe is dedicated to food security and the eradication of root causes of poverty. For over 55 years, Welthungerhilfe supports voluntary and civil society partner organizations in rural India.

About the Proposal

Welthungerhilfe and its partners initiated the program Bhoomi Ka (www.bhoomika.com), literally meaning “from the earth”, aims to increase the demand for, and supply of clean, green and fair foods. Bhoomi Ka is dedicated to empowering farmers, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and small businesses to adopt sustainable practices and enhance their market reach. To achieve this, we seek to develop well-designed, graphic/pictorial training modules and conduct comprehensive training sessions to build capacities in sustainable packaging, food labelling, digital marketing, and storytelling through social media.

Scope of Work

Development of Training Modules:

 Sustainable Packaging and Food Labelling:

• Design a graphic/pictorial module covering eco-friendly packaging solutions, regulatory requirements for food labelling, and best practices for sustainable and consumer-friendly designs.
• Digital Marketing and Storytelling through Social Media:
• Develop a module that includes strategies for online branding, leveraging social media platforms, crafting compelling stories, and creating digital content to engage consumers effectively.

Training Module Requirements:

• Visually engaging and user-friendly design.
• Use of infographics, case studies, and real-life examples for better understanding.
• Focus on practical, actionable insights.
• Language: English and Hindi.

Training Delivery:

• Conduct one physical training session for each module in designated locations.
• Provide pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage participants through interactive methods, including group discussions, hands-on activities, and live demonstrations.
• Ensure training content is tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers, FPOs, and small businesses.

Expected Deliverables

• Two fully developed, graphic-rich training modules.
• Delivery of two training sessions (one per module).
• Training feedback report, including assessments and recommendations for future capacity-building initiatives.
• A digital copy of the training modules for future use.

Eligibility

• Proven experience in developing training materials and delivering capacity-building workshops.
• Expertise in sustainable packaging, food labelling, digital marketing, and social media storytelling.
• Strong design and visual communication skills.
• Familiarity with the needs of smallholder farmers, FPOs, and small businesses.
