RFP invited to implement Vedanta Marathon

The Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), the philanthropic arm of Vedanta Limited, is dedicated to empowering communities and fostering inclusive growth across India. With a commitment of ₹5,000 crore over five years, AAF has positively impacted over 1.73 crore individuals through initiatives spanning healthcare, education, women and child development, animal welfare, and sports. In line with our vision, we are excited to announce the launch of the Vedanta Marathon—an initiative aimed at:

Driving Social Change: Focusing on animal welfare through TACO and sports development via Vedanta Sports initiatives.

Creating a Fundraising Platform: Utilizing the marathon to raise funds for reinvestment into our social programs.

Enhancing Visibility: Providing branding opportunities for Vedanta, AAF, and associated social initiatives.

Building Partnerships: Engaging corporations, government bodies, and communities aligned with our mission.

Promoting Fitness and Well-being: Encouraging healthy lifestyles among participants and stakeholders.
Project Overview:

Event: Vedanta Marathon
-
Expected Participation: 10,000+ runners, including elite and international athletes
-
Proposed Location: Goa or Rajasthan (to be finalized)

Government Support: Involvement of the Chief Minister for event inauguration
Scope of Work:
We are seeking an experienced implementation partner to manage:

Event Management:
-
Comprehensive planning and execution of the marathon
-
Obtaining necessary permissions and approvals
-
Day-of-event logistics and management
-
Professional race timing and certification
-

Marketing & Promotion:
-
Developing a robust PR strategy across multiple channels
-
Engaging 5+ influencers with a following of over 2 million each
-
Ensuring participation of approximately 20 elite athletes
-
Securing media coverage in 60+ cities
-
Communicating the event's social objectives effectively
-

Event Experience:
-
Organizing an expo with 25+ quality partner stalls
-
Designing a professional podium and medal ceremony
-
Creating a well-designed VIP hospitality area
-
Ensuring an engaging experience for all participants
-

Partnership Development:
-
Acquiring strategic sponsorships to support the event
-
Developing partnership models that enhance the overall experience
-
Collaborating effectively with government entities
-
Ownership Options:
We are open to two potential structures:
-
Vedanta-Owned IP: Vedanta retains full ownership, with the partner responsible for execution.

Joint IP Ownership: Shared responsibilities and benefits between Vedanta and the partner.

Proposal Submission Requirements:
Interested parties are invited to submit proposals that include:
- Demonstrated experience in marathon or large-scale event implementation
- Detailed approach and strategy to fulfill the outlined requirements
- Innovative ideas aligning with our social objectives
- Comprehensive budget and timeline
- 3 years balance sheet statement
- 3 years financial statement
