Job Responsibilities

• Support team and the line manager in managing project activities through consulting organisations, civil society organisations, state department/s and the private organisation in the state of Karnataka.
• Explore and facilitate partnerships and cooperation between the private and public stakeholders in the state of Karnataka in Agroecology/Organic Agriculture for marketing of the produce
• Support state team in holding consultative dialogues among relevant state departments of Agriculture, market players and the implementing partners of the project from time to time in project related themes.
• Support team in developing relevant concepts, collect relevant data for project reporting and in documenting the experiences from the field
• Coordinate and work closely with team leader responsible for implementation and other state and national team members.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A master’s degree in agriculture/horticulture with an experience in agri business development both in domestic and export market.
• Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) in project coordination and technical management, preferably in developing markets for sustainable produce.
• Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the initiatives in the domain of organic/natural farming in supporting market related initiatives in the state of Karnataka by state departments and private sector players.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and project team members.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Kannada language is must.
• A willingness to travel to project sites and engage with stakeholders is required.
