Job Description/Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit for an exciting position within WWF-India’s Marketing and Communications team, working directly with all departments within the organization. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality content for and do first edits of marketing and communications collaterals like Quarterly print newsletters, the Annual Report, emailers, web stories, fundraising collaterals, event posters & brochures and various organizational positioning pieces, etc.
  • Manage WWF-India’s social-media platforms with the supervision of the Content Head – content creation, posting, and user engagement included.
  • Collate, visualise and create collateral for various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate with WWF-India’s Programme, State and Field Offices to source stories, visual content and other relevant material for producing world-class content.
  • Conceptualise and manage external and internal communication campaigns, projects and deliverables, including writing/editing content, overseeing design and print production, acquiring stakeholder approvals as needed (executive, financial, human resources, external funders, etc.), and distribution. Obtain approvals for print and digital deployment.
  • Develop communication campaigns that raise awareness and promote our organization’s work to the target demographic/communities.
  • Work with different internal stakeholders to develop and execute communication strategies.
  • Help identify, develop and maintain key communication channels, adapting and improving them in line with external trends and business needs.
  • Maintain communications calendars and/or budgets for all critical communications campaigns.
  • Strengthen the ambassador and influencer network of WWF-India.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • BA/MA degree in English, Journalism, Media/PR, Mass Media & Communications or related discipline
  • Minimum experience – 4 years of experience in writing and editing publications; 
    Background in the following would be a plus: Communications, Marketing, Corporate Comms or related fields
  • Exceptional writing, grammar and editing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and content guidelines
  • Experience managing graphic communications and/or directly using graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience managing websites and email-distribution platforms, and/or working with website and other technology vendors and consultants, including WordPress.
  • Experience managing other related communications vendors, such as news-distribution services, media-monitoring services, printing services or brokers, photographers/videographers or suppliers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to work under pressure and handling tight deadlines.
  • A passion for nature, conservation and environmental issues would be preferred
