Job Description

The candidate will be involved in all activities related to circular economy and resource efficiency at the Centre.

This will include, but will not be limited to, work on circular economy training programmes, metrics, and voluntary business initiatives being run and managed at the Centre. The candidate should have a sound working knowledge of sustainability and the concept of circular economy and have demonstrable experience in

• coordination and management,
• delivering training programmes,
• writing documents, and
• analysing and interpreting data

Interested candidates will be asked to provide supporting evidence for these aspects.

Verbal skills and logical, critical thinking and reasoning are essential for this work and will be tested as part of the evaluation/screening of a candidate.

Job Responsibilities

• Technically and strategically develop and position activities on promoting circular economy within business
• Develop and deliver training modules on circular economy
• Liaising and facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops
• Research and analysis of collected secondary data
• Manage networks and cooperate with partners from government, business, business associations and academia

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A master’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental studies, environmental science, sustainable development, or economics.
• Minimum seven years of demonstrated experience in related positions of increasing responsibility
• Relevant experience on the topics of circular economy, material science and business models.

Skills

• Sound understanding of circular economy especially in the Indian context
• Strong research and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
• Ability to deliver training programmes to a business audience
• Ability to communicate scientific and technical knowledge to different stakeholders
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English with ability to summarise and communicate insights into briefs, reports and presentations
• Ability to adapt and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment
• Ability to effectively work in a team while being able to independently drive research if, and when, needed.
