Job Title: Associate Manager – Urban Climate Resilience
Location: Ahmedabad (with extensive travel across project locations)
CTC: INR 10.8L to 13.20L (depending on experience and expertise)
About the Position:
The Associate Manager – Urban Climate Resilience will support CSRBOX's initiatives in developing, managing, and scaling urban climate resilience projects. The incumbent will specifically drive and coordinate projects focused on green roofs, cool roofs, urban greening and afforestation, and reflective infrastructure for heat mitigation. Collaborating closely with urban local bodies, municipal corporations, corporate CSR teams, and philanthropic entities, the Associate Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing urban environmental resilience and reducing heat stress in cities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, plan, and manage projects related to urban climate resilience, including green roofs, cool roofs, urban greening, afforestation, and reflective infrastructures.
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with municipal corporations, urban development authorities, and relevant government departments.
- Engage with businesses, corporates, philanthropic foundations, and CSR/ESG teams to align and mobilize resources and technical expertise.
- Develop proposals, concept notes, project implementation plans, and detailed reports for stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- Facilitate and conduct field visits, stakeholder consultations, and participatory assessments to ensure inclusive and sustainable project interventions.
- Oversee project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to capture impact, learnings, and best practices.
- Build strategic partnerships with technical experts, NGOs, community groups, and academia for knowledge exchange and capacity building.
- Actively participate in policy advocacy and contribute to thought leadership on urban climate resilience and sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in projects focused on urban climate resilience, green infrastructure, afforestation, and sustainable urban design.
- Educational background in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with urban local bodies, municipal corporations, and public-sector stakeholders.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing projects addressing climate resilience and urban environmental sustainability.
- Familiarity with urban planning tools (such as AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp) and engineering tools relevant to infrastructure design.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of climate change impacts, urban heat islands, and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop strategic project proposals and operational plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in data analysis, documentation, and report writing.
- High adaptability, willingness to travel extensively, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
