About the Organization

The journey of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute, began in 1905 at Pusa (Bihar) with the generous grant of 30,000 pounds from an American philanthropist, Mr. Henry Phipps. The institute was then known as Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) which functioned with five departments, namely Agriculture, Cattle Breeding, Chemistry, Economic Botany and Mycology. Bacteriology unit was added in 1907. The name of ARI was changed to Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911 and, in 1919 it was renamed as Imperial Agricultural Research Institute. Following a devastating earth quake on 15th January 1934, the institute was shifted to Delhi on 29th July 1936. Post independence, the institute has been renamed as Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI)

Job Description

• CEO (Chief Executive Officer) will work closely with the PI/Incharge to ensure the day-to- day smooth running of the incubator. CEO will engage with multiple stakeholders, Funding agencies internal as well as external. CEO will work to create funding sources, strategies and plans for incubator. CEO will also oversee overall smooth running of all PUSA Krishi Programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate new initiatives for incubation service offerings to entrepreneurs and start-ups.
• Develop strategies to leverage industry, academics, investors & institutional network for the benefit of the incubation program.
• Ensure development of marketing material to promote incubator and incubatees.
• Organize events to facilitate national and international collaborations for the incubator.
• Coordinate all cross-functional activities at the incubator level & collaborate with management on allocation and planning of resources to help promote innovations.
• Demonstrate an active approach, be willing to get involved to achieve goals and objectives of the incubator.
• Work collaboratively towards creating a positive and innovative atmosphere which encourages employees and start-ups to commit themselves to the National cause.
• Coach & mentor entrepreneurs, start-ups in their innovative product positioning.
• Nurturing the start-ups to develop innovation mindset & drive linkages to industries for business collaborations.
• Conducting regular innovation workshops for the start-ups with various industry experts.
• Organize events to facilitate collaborations, technology tie-up, enhance the investor reach and expert resource.
• Organize training programs, workshops, mentorship programs, networking seminars etc. Coordinate all cross-functional activities, represent start-ups internally and collaborate with management on allocation and planning of resources to help promote start-up innovations.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• M.Tech/MBA/PGDM/equivalent Master's degree in Agriculture/ Agri-Business/ finance/ marketing/ Agri marketing/ Economics/ agri Economics/International Business from UGC recognized institute/ universities. A minimum experience of 5 years is required in incubation sector by running incubation/ acceleration programmes; Assessment and evaluation of startups proposals; mentored/supported a minimum of 20-35 startups /incubation Proposal /acceleration/CSR projects grants.

Salary

Emoluments (fixed) P.M.: Rs. 1.50 lakh/ Month (Fixed)
