Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Associate to join our Academy team. The ideal candidate will drive the promotion of our academy courses and initiatives in public policy through strategic social media marketing, institutional partnership building, engaging content creation, and effective communication strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Plan, create, and schedule posts to promote academy courses and events.
- Monitor engagement metrics and optimize campaigns to maximize reach.
Content Creation:
- Design visually appealing graphics and videos using Canva (knowledge of other graphic design tools like Adobe Suite is a plus).
- Draft compelling copy tailored for different platforms.
- Produce newsletters, event announcements, and blog posts in alignment with our brand voice.
Institutional Partnerships:
- Identify, pitch to, and secure collaborations with universities, think tanks, and other organizations.
- Manage relationships with institutional partners to drive programme participation and growth.
Market Trends & Research:
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, public policy debates, and current affairs.
- Analyze audience behavior to inform future campaigns.
Brand Building:
- Maintain a consistent and professional brand image across all channels.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative campaigns and strategies.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public policy, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Canva (knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or video editing tools is a bonus).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience: 1-2 years in social media marketing, communications, or related roles (freshers with exceptional portfolios are encouraged to apply).
