About the Organization
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health.
Job Description/Responsibilities
The project staff will carry out the day-to-day activities at one of two sites under the project, under the supervision of the project coordinator. Key responsibilities include:
- Fulfilling various duties with relation to day-to-day project activities
- Coordinate with local health system actors and project staff in a team to execute project activities under supervision
- Monitoring and providing hands-on training to community health workers
- Conduct PLA meetings in assigned villages and train local facilitators in PLA methods
- Coordinate survey logistics, including scheduling, mapping out survey locations, and managing transportation arrangements.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Coordinator and participate in team meetings to discuss project outcomes, challenges, and potential modifications.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the investigators or coordinator
- Any other activities as delegated by Supervisor.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized university/institute
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or a related health discipline from a recognized university/institute.
Experience:
Essential:
- Around 02 Years of Experience.
Desirable:
- Proven experience in working within the health system or facilitating/conducting adult training.
- Ability to work independently in field settings, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Written and oral fluency in local language (either Khasi or Garo) and English.
