Over the past 15 years, the foundation has committed nearly INR 1500 crores ($200 million), impacting more than 12 million children and families from low-income communities. In 2024, the foundation launched the Dell Aspire Scholars program, supporting high-achieving students at Delhi Technological University and Hansraj College with career coaching, mentorship, and leadership development to help them succeed in their careers and communities.
Job Description
The Head, Dell Aspire Scholars will shape the strategic direction and growth path of the Dell Aspire Scholars Program to transform the lives of high-need college students by preparing them for professional and personal success. This individual will oversee the Scholars team in India and collaborate with Global Scholars teams to further the work on scholar academic support, learning needs, career readiness, employer partnerships and alumni engagement. Through these areas, the incumbent will unify efforts to equip students with essential resources and, and support. They will also lead efforts in developing high-impact partnerships, utilizing data insights for program improvement, and expanding the program’s reach.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Management (30%)
- Define and implement a strategy positioning Dell Aspire Scholars as a role model in supporting underserved college students in India.
- Collaborate with Global Scholars team in the U.S. and South Africa to share best practices, align goals, and ensure consistent program standards across regions.
- Set and monitor ambitious program goals, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Partnership Building & Stakeholder Engagement (25%)
- Build relationships with stakeholders in academia and industry to expand program support.
- Represent Dell Aspire at events, enhancing visibility and creating new opportunities for scholars.
Data & Impact Measurement (15%)
- Lead robust data collection and analysis processes to assess student success, job placement, and alumni outcomes and use these insights to further refine initiatives.
- Champion technology integration for efficient data management and impact tracking, ensuring program effectiveness remains high.
Financial Oversight & Resource Allocation (15%)
- Collaborate with foundation leadership to create long-term financial plans that ensure program scalability and impact.
- Oversee program budgets and resource planning, ensuring priority initiatives are well-supported and aligned with foundation guidelines.
Team Management (15%)
- Mentor and support Program Managers and Scholar Success Managers in scholar support, career readiness, and alumni engagement, helping them achieve program goals.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture, ensuring team members have growth and development opportunities.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Tech field; Master’s degree will be preferred.
- Experience: At least 15 years in edtech, university placement office, recruitment with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Mission-Driven: Commitment to advancing opportunities for underserved communities; understanding of challenges in education and workforce readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven record in establishing partnerships; strong networks in corporate and education sectors preferred.
- Data-Driven: Skilled in using data for decision-making and program improvement; experience with outcome measurement.
- Financial Management: Proficient in budgeting and resource allocation for scaling programs.
- Communication: Able to communicate program impact to various audiences, from leadership to scholars.
- Inclusive Leadership: Commitment to a collaborative and diverse environment, aligned with the foundation’s values
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term plans and measure success through clear metrics.
