Position Overview:
The candidate will work in a team deployed in one of the districts under the Aspirational District / Block Transformation Program under the aegis of NITI Aayog. The position entails intense field work in rural Aspirational Block, Gram panchayat and remote areas with emphasis on government engagements and intervention in community based on candidates’ liaison and partnership skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute Change
- Operationalize selection, on boarding and performance management process to enable career development of District officials/ Master Facilitators and Master coaches in Aspirational Districts of the State(s)
- Align stakeholder’s expectations for strategic change initiatives and identify best suited cadre to source the best leadership talent (District magistrate, CEO, DLOs, SDM, BDO, BLOs, Pradhan, PRI Members).
- Understand and implement strategy for the facilitating the change and enabling Govt stakeholders for its adoption
- Campaigns rollout, alignment, launch, baseline, Intervention and Endline, Impact
Coaching and Facilitation
- Demonstrate effective coaching practices and role model them for District Level Officials (DLOs) and Block Level Officials (BLOs), Elected representatives, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) for conducting selection/ on-boarding and performance management processes.
- Demonstrate effective facilitation skills and role model them for skill development of Gandhi fellows/ Karuna fellows
Working in Ambiguity with rapidly changing needs
- Be open to work towards identifying key constraints in the Government department and its complexity.
- Adapt to the uncertainties and unpredictable pace of work in Govt systems
- Identify scope of liaison and working partnerships with other organizations
Operational Excellence
- Execute and support implementation and delivery of various tools/frameworks efficiently.
- Identify best suited cadre for sourcing of middle managers by building relevant parameters
- Build internal resource strength by influencing /enabling peers
- Conduct selection process with expertise for developing cadre of MC/MFs/District Managers
- Support development of customized Products/tools to assess potential MCs/MFs, and collaboration with Ops team members and COEs
- Participate in weekly/monthly meetings to align with Govt change agendas
- Travel to field areas to establish and develop partnerships and liaison with stakeholders
- Documentation, success stories, all the interactions and learnings gathered from the field.
- Create a communication channel to share information with key stakeholders.

- Identify and implement best practices by drawing insights to help overcome future challenges
- Research focused work that will add to organizational knowledge about the program
- Analyze short-comings and failures as opportunities to learn and build own team competencies

Experience:
- 4 to 5 years field experience in a systemic intervention program, Government projects.
- Preferably should be an alumnus of a field fellowship or should possess adequate work experience gained by working in remote rural areas
Education:
- Masters in any discipline, desired Social Work or Humanities.
- Familiar with IT Tools, MS Tools, Outlook, Google form, Microsoft team,
Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Proficiency in the local language will be highly preferred.
Travel:
The person should be willing to take up responsibilities & travel frequently at short notice periods will be expected.
