Job Description

There is a requirement for the position of Research Associate (ESG) to support the research work related to National Investment & Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) Chair in Environment, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG). Applicant should have a strong understanding of data analysis languages such as Python, and R. Additionally, demonstrate practical proficiency in software such as Excel (preferably STATA also). A basic understanding of ESG would be a plus.

The location would be the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The position is contractual in nature for a prefixed period. The contract period can be extended based on performance after an initial period of 6 months.

Job Responsibilities

• Quantitative Analysis and Statistical modelling (R/Python, Excel, Stata) for ESGrelated data analysis
• Analysing Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (ESG, BRSR, TCFD, SASB, SFDR etc)
• Assisting Indian funds to become compliant with the SFDR
• Conducting high-quality literature review on climate-related financial disclosures and sustainable finance
• Assisting in secondary data collection and analysis
• Preparing reports/ papers for publications

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• The candidate with experience/ qualification in master’s degree in data science/ data analytics/ business analytics/ or any other degrees in the relevant field.
• It is desirable that the candidate should know about ESG, sustainable finance, sustainable business management, or related fields.
• The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and should have a command of statistical tools.
