Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Essential Qualification:

• A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) and a PhD in Disaster Management/ Planning/ Climate Change/ Sustainability Studies/ Geo-informatics/ Data Analytics/ Data Science/ Earth Science/ Environment/ Engineering/ Actuarial Science/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ other relevant disciplines from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

 Desirable Qualifications:

• The candidates having a minimum of one year of work experience/research/teaching in the area of Advanced Quantitative Methods/ Statistics/ AI/ML/ Big Data/ Econometrics/ Data Processing/ Geospatial Analytics/ Disaster Informatics/ Climate Modelling using AI/ML/ Early Warning Systems/ Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) in Spatial Data Analysis shall be given preference. Proficiency in using relevant statistical and /or other software and tools for data analysis, modelling and simulation. Candidates with demonstrated competence in trans-disciplinary research are encouraged to apply.
