Trainer – Solar Panel Installation Technician

Organization: BharatCares (CSRBOX Group)
Location: Hubli, Karnataka
CTC: ₹3,60,000 – ₹4,80,000 per annum

Role Overview

BharatCares is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Trainer – Solar Panel Installation Technician to deliver industry-relevant training under CSR-funded skilling programs.

The trainer will be responsible for conducting classroom and practical sessions on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, installation techniques, safety standards, maintenance practices, and employability skills to prepare trainees for careers in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Conduct classroom and hands-on practical training on Solar PV installation and maintenance.
  • Deliver training as per NSQF, Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ), and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate solar panel mounting, wiring, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Develop lesson plans, practical exercises, and training materials.
  • Ensure effective learning through demonstrations, simulations, and field-based exposure.

Trainee Development

  • Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and learning progress.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and career counseling.
  • Support trainees in developing workplace readiness and professional skills.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during practical sessions.

Assessment & Certification

  • Prepare trainees for internal and external assessments.
  • Conduct regular theory and practical evaluations.
  • Support assessment agencies and certification processes.
  • Maintain trainee records and performance documentation.

Industry & Placement Support

  • Coordinate with placement teams to enhance trainee employability.
  • Facilitate industry interactions, guest lectures, and site visits.
  • Keep trainees updated on emerging trends and opportunities in the solar sector.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain training reports, attendance records, assessment data, and project documentation.
  • Support monitoring visits, audits, and stakeholder reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with project guidelines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical & Electronics, or related disciplines.
  • Certification in Solar PV Installation, Renewable Energy, or related technical fields preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in solar installation, renewable energy projects, or technical training.
  • Prior experience in skilling programs, vocational training, PMKVY, CSR projects, or workforce development initiatives will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Solar PV Systems, Installation Practices, Electrical Wiring, Inverters, Batteries, and System Commissioning.
  • Understanding of solar site assessment, safety standards, and preventive maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with solar tools, testing equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent training, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and mentor youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital training platforms.
