Job Description

WJCF is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong data analytics and visualization skills to support Immunization program in Patna, Bihar as a Volunteer, Immunization. The Volunteer will work closely with state and national teams to analyze immunization data, generate insights, and create dynamic dashboards using tools such as Google Data Studio, Power BI, and other visualization platforms. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical abilities, proficiency in data processing tools, and strong communication skills. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to public health impact.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, following:

  • Oversee monitoring, synthesis, and analysis of immunization data to draw meaningful insights
  • Assist in data collection using tools like SurveyCTO, KoBo Toolbox and G-Suite forms.
  • Prepare data-driven reports and presentations for government and partner stakeholders.
  • Develop and apply methodologies for statistical modelling (regression analysis and predictive analytics) of data to identify and understand complex patterns and programmatic gaps.
  • Creation of insightful automated dashboards using visualization tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau) to inform real-time monitoring and evaluation efforts within the program.
  • Use geospatial tools (GIS, QGIS) to plot geographic datasets, map immunization coverage rates, and identify poor performing areas.
  • Contribute to the assessment of programmatic datasets to identify the impact of efforts in the project/ program/ portfolio, and support in the documentation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Health & Family Welfare (DoHFW) to align strategies.
  • Travel on short notice to various parts of Bihar, and occasionally outside of the state.
  • Undertake other programmatic activities as requested by the Program Manager, Routine Immunization.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors/ Masters in Economics, Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Engineering, or allied areas.
  • Good analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills, including development of analyses/presentations.
  • Prior experience in conducting data analysis (using tools such as Excel, R, Python, STATA, SQL, etc.) and visualization (using tools such as PowerBI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.) as part of a project deliverable
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically, handle ambiguity, self-motivate, adapt, problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Officer, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
  • Exposure to programming tools such as Python, R, Stata, etc.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to various parts of Bihar state, if required.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi.

 Preferred:

  • Prior experience operating as a part of public health/ data analytics projects
  • Strong understanding of public health/immunization context.
