About the Organization

Our mission is to foster conservation of biodiversity in Northeast India through research, environmental education, capacity building and advocacy for legal and policy reform to usher a new era of ecological security.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the young fellow are

• Active engagement with educational institutions and communities by conducting and supporting activity-based learning and outreach programs primarily in Kamrup Metro District of Assam and other parts of NE India.
• To liaise and active engagement with administration/ Government departments, research and development on climate change and environmental arena.
• Data collection, data interpretation and support in data analysis and technical report.
• Documentation including monthly/activity report preparation, activity/campaign designing on environment etc.
• Organise field activities with community (Community Councils) as well as the Municipal to undertake environment activities such as plantation drive, waste management and recycling etc

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Graduate/Post graduate in Forestry/ Environment studies/ Botany/ Agriculture/ Geography/related field
• Some internship/ experience desirable but NOT necessary
• Fair knowledge of computers
• Must have good communication skills including verbal & written proficiency in English and Assamese.
