About the Organization
It has been a rewarding sixteen years since we embarked on our mission to equip economically disadvantaged children and youth with education and foundational skills, galvanising them towards a better future. Our ‘Inch Wide Mile Deep’ approach, home-grown projects focussed on quality education for the low-income segment have been instrumental in shaping the success of our projects across India. KEF’s approach is primarily three-pronged–
- holistic interventions with children and educators in school,
- equitable scholarships for higher studies, and
- vocational education and skills training for livelihood.
Strengthening school leadership and teacher capacity building, creating a digital ecosystem and learning environment in schools, equipping middle school students with confidence and skills of communicative English, upskilling teachers to provide Foundational Literacy & Numeracy skills, and supporting districts in building and running Model Schools – these are key interventions run by KEF. KEF launched the Kotak Kanya Scholarship in 2021 to offer financial and academic support to meritorious girl students in pursuit of higher education from all over India. Kotak Junior Scholarship supports meritorious students from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region in pursuing 11th and 12th standards. KEF’s Vocational Education & Livelihood Project upskills unemployed youth from economically weaker sections of society and coaches them in domain know-how, the basics of IT and spoken English, life skills and personality development. It ensures placements for all eligible participants so they can stride with confidence into any professional sphere.
Job Description
We are looking for a creative and driven Marketing Executive to support our communication and branding efforts. The role involves assisting in content creation, digital communication, events, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen organizational visibility and highlight social impact. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow in marketing communications within the social sector.
Job Responsibilities
Content & Storytelling Support
- Assist in creating impact stories, case studies, and beneficiary profiles.
- Draft basic content for social media posts, newsletters, reports, and donor communication.
- Help gather program data, quotes, and visuals from internal teams to support storytelling.
Digital & Social Media
- Support planning and execution of social media calendars.
- Coordinate with design teams/agencies to create digital content and creatives.
- Monitor social media engagement and prepare weekly/monthly analytics reports.
Media & PR Support
- Assist in drafting press notes, event briefs, and basic media communication.
- Maintain media lists and support outreach for press coverage.
- Coordinate with media and CSR publications for event invites and follow-ups.
Donor & Partner Communication
- Help prepare donor decks, presentations, and reporting materials.
- Support the team in collecting photos, data, and updates required for donor communication.
- Assist with communication inputs for proposals.
Events & Campaigns
- Support planning and coordination of events, campaigns, and partner engagements.
- Liaise with vendors, production teams, and logistics partners.
- Assist with scripts, schedules, and documentation during events.
Internal Communications
- Assist in drafting internal newsletters, announcements, and staff engagement content.
- Help in organizing internal events, sessions, and communication initiatives.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare monthly communication dashboards and activity trackers.
- Support database management for photos, videos, media coverage, and content files. review.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or PR (experience in the social sector is a bonus).
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media management and digital tools.
- Ability to coordinate across teams, manage timelines, and multitask.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
