Job Description

Mumbai First is seeking two dynamic Fellows to play a key role in advancing the organisation’s strategic initiatives and communication efforts. The Fellows will work closely with the core team and senior leadership to:

  • Support the planning and execution of high-impact projects
  • Research and draft compelling CSR proposals and identify potential partnerships
  • Coordinate with stakeholders & partners to ensure smooth execution of activities

This is a full-time, performance-based fellowship with the potential for extension based on mutual interest and organisational needs.

Job Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Institutional Engagement

  • Support senior leadership in meetings, manage follow-ups, and ensure clear communication and progress tracking.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Support planning and execution of high-impact initiatives including research, concept development, stakeholder engagement, logistics and documentation.
  • Create and maintain work plans, timelines, and status reports to ensure smooth and timely delivery of each component.

CSR Proposal Development

  • Research and draft high-quality proposals aligned with Mumbai First’s ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Identify potential CSR partners and funding opportunities.
  • Prepare professional decks, concept notes, and project documentation for outreach and fundraising.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Social Work or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 years of full-time work experience CSR and research
  • Proven experience in CSR proposal writing and research
  • Ability to use design tools like Canva, Adobe Suite (preferred), or alternatives
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Self-driven, deadline-oriented, and team player

Eligibility

  • Open to candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have worked in development sector organizations, think tanks, consulting firms, or start-ups, especially in roles involving project management, stakeholder engagement, communications, or fundraising.
  • Applicants must not be enrolled in any full-time academic program during the fellowship period.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently will be key to succeeding in this role.
