About the Organization

The ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute was established by Government of India on February 3rd 1947 under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and later it joined the ICAR family in 1967. During the course of over 78 years the Institute has emerged as a leading tropical marine fisheries research institute in the world.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Fishery Microbiology

Experience:

• Experience in basic and applied microbiology, including bacterial isolation and identification, hands-on experience in AMR.

Desirable:

• Experience in swimming. Age: The candidates should be of 21 years and should not exceed 45 years of age on the last date of submission of application (relaxable as per existing rules)

Salary

Rs.30000-00 (fixed) per month or as per ICAR norms

Mention “application for the post of YP-1 under AINP-AMR” in the subject line of the mail. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview in- person at the Research Station of ICAR-CMFRI, Karwar, Karnataka on a specified date. No TA/DA would be provided by ICARCMFRI for attending the offline interview. Already employed candidate should provide NOC from their present employer. The applicants must bring with them original documents including degree certificates, application form (photo affixed), bio data and experience certificate(s), at the time of interview. The work demands extensive tour to different stations/ centres of CMFRI across the country. Applications received after the due date or submitted on any other e-mail or submitted offline will not be accepted/ entertained.
