On the publication side, the Centre’s flagship blog, the CBFL Blog, has over the last few years grown to become one of India’s most sought-after blogs in the area of corporate and commercial laws, with a large number of articles submitted to it each day and a highly selective editorial process managed completely by members of the Centre.

About the NLUD Financial and Business Law Review: The NLUD Business and Financial Law Review (NLUD BFLR) is the newly launched flagship commercial law journal of the Centre for Business and Financial Laws at NLU Delhi, the inaugural volume of which is set to be published in September 2025.

The NLUD BFLR intends to serve as a source of cutting-edge contemporary discourse on issues relevant to corporate and commercial laws, by publishing high-quality articles authored by students, academicians, and practitioners. The focus of the publication will be on the latest developments in commercial law, ensuring relevance to contemporary legal and financial challenges to encourage critical analysis, reform proposals, and comparative studies.

The journal aims to contribute to the evolution of business law in India and globally.

Themes for Submission: The journal would accept and publish articles dealing with the following themes and areas of law, under the broad umbrella of corporate and commercial laws:

• Securities Law and Capital Markets

Categories of Submissions

• Long Articles (Above 5000 words)
• Essays (3000–5000 words)
• Book Reviews or Case/Legislative Comments (1500–3000 words)

Manuscript Guidelines

• Submissions must not be descriptive in nature. The author(s) must ensure that the submission is critically evaluative while contributing to the existing literature/jurisprudence on the subject matter.
• Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
• Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two individuals. However, this limit may be relaxed at the discretion of the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis.
• The manuscript must be in A4 size, with 1-inch margins on all four sides.

Formatting Guidelines for Main Text

1. Font Style: Times New Roman
2. Font Size: 12
3. Line Spacing: 1.15
4. Alignment: Justified

Internal Headings Format

1. First-level headings should be numbered I, II, III, and so on.
2. Second-level headings should be numbered A, B, C, and so on.
3. Third-level headings should be numbered (i), (ii), (iii), and so on.

Formatting Guidelines for Footnotes

1. Font Style: Times New Roman
2. Font Size: 10
3. Line Spacing: 1.0
4. Alignment: Left Aligned

• All references shall be made using footnotes.
• Endnotes and in-text citations are strictly prohibited.
• Submissions must conform to Bluebook 20th Edition.
• It is advisable to use Supreme Court Cases (SCC) or All India Reporter (AIR) citations while referencing case law.

Additional Requirements

• The submission must include an abstract of not more than 300 words.
• Additionally, the authors must provide five keywords capturing the theme of the submission.
• All submissions will be mandatorily checked for AI-generated and plagiarized content. Submissions exceeding the 15% limit (for AI and plagiarism) will be summarily rejected.
• Submissions shall be the original work of the author(s). They should not be previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
• The manuscript must not contain any identifying information, such as the author(s)’ name, institutional affiliation, contact details, or any other personal details.
• The author(s) bear full responsibility for the accuracy of all facts and information presented in the submission.

• The submission must be made through this Google Form only.
• Submissions made in any other form shall not be accepted.
• The document name must follow the format: "[Full Name of the Author(s)] _ [Title of Submission]"
• The deadline for submissions for Volume I of the NLUD BFLR is 11:59 PM on 27 April 2025.
