About the Organization

Centre for Environment Education Ahmedabad was established as a Centre of Excellence under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India, working in the field of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development. CEE is registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act 1860 vide registration No. GUJ/1043/Ahmedabad having its registered Office at Thaltej Tekra Ahmedabad.

As a national institution, CEE’s mandate is to promote environmental awareness nationwide. CEE develops innovative programmes and educational material and builds capacity in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It is committed to ensure that Environmental Education (EE) leads to action for sustainable development. It undertakes field projects that demonstrate and validate the role education can play in sustainable development.

About the Proposal

HDFC Bank- Centre for Environment Education (CEE) are implementing the project 'Rural & Urban Landscape Free of Dry & Plastic Waste' in 06 Urban locations and 03 Rural Districts across India. This initiative is designed to partner in Urban (cities and towns) and Rural (village-panchayat-block-district) areas to synergize the efforts with the Urban/Rural Local Bodies, State Pollution Control Boards, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department (MoEFCC), Safai Mitras, Service Providers, Recyclers, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Swachh Survekshan (an initiative of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS) & other stakeholders to minimize negative impacts and risks to the environment and the citizen's health. The project desires to encourage all stakeholders in the waste value chain and to promote processes for improving material use efficiency, and a sustainable and safe environment across all forms of dry and plastic waste fractions.

Objective of the Assignment:

This assignment is to showcase key project objectives and strategy with a focus on Material Recovery Facility/Material Recycling Center to showcase the overall project approach & initiatives.  The primary objectives of video development are:

  • To create project-based videos showcasing the work that is undertaken at 04 project locations.
  • Samastipur; Bihar
  • Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir
  • Telangana (covering Nirmal & Mahabubnagar in one video)
  • Ranchi; Jharkhand
  • To deliver 04 videos in English, 03 in Hindi & 01 in telugu that communicates key messages effectively and aligns with the project.

Scope of Work:

The vendor is expected to perform the following activities:

  • Conduct initial meetings or discussions to understand the project requirements and video goals.
  • Develop a creative concept and script for the video mutually with the CEE Team.
  • Scene Design/Storyboard: Development and approval of the scene design with selected pictures to be used in the video (following the script and storyboard.)
  • Composing, editing, and mixing of video by using voiceover & captions
  • Incorporating visual elements, music, and other necessary components wherever required.
  • Produce a high-definition video in the preferred format (e.g., MP4) within the specified duration [4-5 minutes].
  • Allow for up to 03 rounds of revisions based on the team’s feedback.
  • Ensure all content used (images, music, voiceovers, etc.) complies with copyright laws and is cleared for commercial use.
  • The vendors are required to take pictures from the field as well along with recording video. Taking drone shots of MRF/MRC are required.

Specifications of the Video:

  • The contractors shall use their own HD-quality video camera and professional editing software for recording/shooting of the field including video bytes from multiple stakeholders.
  • Type of Video- Using real images from the fields and video bytes of multiple stakeholders; shot by the vendor professionally
  • Duration- 04 minutes
  • Languages- English & local language for each video with English subtitles in all.
  • Number of videos- 04 videos in English, 03 in Hindi & 01 in telugu.
  • Frame size:  Standard Size; 1920 x 1080 pixels and 1280 x 720 (compatible for phone as well)

Deliverables:

The vendor will be responsible for delivering the following:

  • Concept, script, and storyboard.
  • Images/video bytes shot by the vendor for each of the locations.
  • Deliver the final video including the storyline in both the original editable format (raw video) and a finalized, ready-to-use format. A lighter version of the video file with voiceover for YouTube and online dissemination
  • All raw, original, and editable graphics and layers, video elements, working files, and other related deliverables under the contract.
  • The full version of the original music with proof or certification for the use of music obtained for the CEE stored in the external hard drive.

Eligibility

Evaluation of proposals will be based on Technical & Financial bids.

Technical Qualifications and experience: 

  • The contractors are expected to possess the following qualifications:
  • A valid legal identification document for the organization/firm. At least three years of experience in videography/video shooting, editing, experience in editing.
  • Demonstrated experience of the conception, production, and editing of mini-video documentaries.
  • Experience covering social, humanitarian, and waste management sectors will be an advantage. Experience working with Waste pickers/Kabadiwalas/other informal sectors.
  • Experience developing videos for Municipal Corporations, Urban/Environment/Pollution Control Boards/Government/Cantonments or any waste management related activities & for issues related to women and children.
