Job Description
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Economic and Public Financial Management (EPFM) is an independent Business Unit and an established practice area at IPE Global. IPE Global is the lead agency for many global research and evaluation frameworks from the international development organisations and governments (such as FCDO, WB, BMGF, UNICEF, WFP, UNCDF, Niti Aayog, etc.)
The team provides a range of research and MEL services which include (but are not limited to) implementation research and concurrent monitoring, impact evaluations, formative and developmental evaluations, process evaluations and strategic and portfolio reviews/assessments. Some of our key MEL clients include FCDO, Gates Foundation, UNICEF, World Bank, GIZ, GAIN
Our research and evaluation experience covers several thematic areas – Health, Nutrition and WASH, Social and Economic Empowerment, Climate, Poverty and Financial Inclusion, Agriculture and Food Systems, Education and Skills Development and Global Knowledge Sharing and Public Goods, to name a few.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Leading and managing research and evaluation assignments. Responsibilities include finalisation of research designs (including sampling frameworks), survey tools, data quality check, conducting data analysis using approach software (SPSS/STATA/R/NVivo, etc.) and contributing to high-quality and timely report writing.
- Business Development: Contributing to technical sections of project proposals for prospective projects, especially the Approach and Methodology and Programme Management. It also includes identifying new opportunities or clients.
- Supporting junior or other team members – technical guidance, support on delivery of the assignments and project proposals.
- Interaction with clients – progress updates, technical responses and making presentations.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Post-Graduate preferably in one of the social sciences
- At least 10 years of work experience in business development and project implementation in the development/social sector. Previous experience in leading or working in research, monitoring and evaluation assignment.
- Strong in quantitative research and data analysis skills
- Exception writing and communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge and understanding of quantitative (statistics and econometrics, sampling, data visualization, statistical software) and/or qualitative (theory-based evaluations, frameworks, facilitation, qualitative software) research techniques and designs
- Integrity, commitment, hard work and willingness to learn and grow
- Proactiveness and ability to work in a team.
