Job Position: Associate Manager - CSR & Partnerships

Location: Mumbai

Salary: INR 7.80 LPA to 9.60 LPA (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview:

The Associate Manager – CSR & Partnerships will drive the PMU's corporate partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts, strengthening collaboration between government, corporates, financial institutions, agribusinesses, and development organizations. Based in Mumbai, the role will lead corporate landscape research, partnership development, proposal preparation, and strategic engagement to catalyse partnerships that support sustainable agriculture, rural development, natural resource management, and allied sectors. The position combines rigorous research with proactive partner engagement and offers significant ownership in advancing the PMU's agriculture-focused mandate

Key Responsibilities

Funder Research & Portfolio Mapping

  • Execute the mapping of corporate and foundation giving portfolios, mining annual reports, BRSR disclosures, CSR filings, and foundation databases to profile thematic priorities, spend patterns, geographies, and decision-makers.
  • Maintain a live pipeline tracker and funder-intelligence repository for the PMU; prioritise Mumbai-headquartered corporates, BFSI institutions, and family foundations for outreach.

Proposal & Concept Note Development

  • Draft and coordinate proposals/concept notes per year, tailoring PM-DDKY-aligned opportunities to specific funder mandates, and managing versioning, review cycles, and submissions.
  •  Coordinate with the communications and design team on decks, one-pagers, and knowledge products supporting pitches and convenings.

NPO Capacity Building Support

  • Support the design and delivery of capacity-building sessions for NPOs including curriculum materials, session logistics, participant management, and pre/post assessments.
  • Maintain NPO profiles and readiness assessments; support funder-NPO matchmaking.

Events & Follow-up

  • Manage end-to-end execution of roundtables, workshops, and showcase events - invitations, logistics, documentation, and speaker coordination.
  • Prepare post-event status reports and lead-generation trackers; execute structured follow-up with prospective funders.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain KPI dashboards and contribute to quarterly progress reports for client and internal leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in development studies, social work, public policy, economics, management, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in CSR consulting, development-sector research, fundraising/partnerships, or programme management.
  • Strong secondary research and data skills, comfort with CSR filings, BRSR/annual reports, Excel/Google Sheets trackers, and presentation tools.
  • Proven proposal and report-writing ability; excellent written English and working Hindi (Marathi an advantage).
  • Familiarity with the Indian CSR regulatory framework and the agriculture/rural livelihoods sector preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for events, district visits, and partner meetings.

  • High ownership and reliability in a lean-team environment; strong project and deadline management.
  • Analytical rigour with the ability to turn research into crisp, funder-ready outputs.
  • Professional communication with corporate CSR teams and NPO partners alike.
  • Attention to detail in trackers, documentation, and reporting.
  • Preferred individuals from Agriculture background
