Position Overview:

The Associate Manager – Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the monitoring and evaluation framework for the organization’s programs and projects. This role involves ensuring data-driven decision-making, assessing the impact of initiatives, and improving program effectiveness through continuous feedback and learning.

The Role and Responsibilities:

M&E Framework Development

  • Design and implement M&E frameworks, methodologies, and tools to assess program performance and impact.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and metrics to measure the success of projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of M&E processes with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from field activities.
  • Develop and maintain databases to track project performance and outcomes.
  • Conduct regular data analysis and generate actionable insights for program improvement.

 Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of M&E reports as per donor, regulatory, or organizational requirements.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories for knowledge sharing and program improvement.

Capacity Building and Training

  • Provide training and technical support to program teams and partners on M&E tools, processes, and data management.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the organization.

Field Visits and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation and validate data.
  • Engage with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure program accountability.
  • Collaborate with external evaluators, consultants, and research agencies as needed.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure M&E activities comply with donor requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Monitor data quality and integrity, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Post-graduate degree in social development sector having a multidisciplinary academic profile
  • Overall 2 years’ experience in the social sector with at least 1 year experience in social impact program monitoring and evaluation
  • Hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Stata, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with M&E frameworks such as Theory of Change, Logical Framework, or Results-Based Management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely and accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of program data.
  • Improvement in program performance based on M&E insights.
  • Positive feedback from stakeholders and beneficiaries on program impact.
  • Quality and comprehensiveness of reports and documentation.
