Job Position: Associate Manager-Watershed and NRM
Locations: Nashik
No. of Position: 1
CTC: ₹6.00 LPA - ₹7.20 LPA (Depending on the relevant experience)
About the Position:
The Associate Manager for Watershed and Natural Resource Management (NRM) will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and monitoring watershed programs while leveraging technical expertise in NRM. This position demands hands-on experience in project management, field execution, stakeholder engagement, and technical acumen related to watershed and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design and Implementation:
- Design comprehensive watershed and NRM programs tailored to the geographic and community-specific needs of Nashik and surrounding areas.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements.
Field Execution:
- Oversee the execution of watershed activities, including soil conservation, water harvesting, afforestation, and groundwater recharge initiatives.
- Provide technical support to field teams for accurate implementation of NRM techniques.
Technical Expertise:
- Apply expertise in soil and water management, hydrology, and community-led natural resource management techniques.
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and project evaluations.
Community Engagement and Capacity Building:
- Mobilize and engage local communities for active participation in watershed activities.
- Organize and deliver training programs for local stakeholders, enhancing their capacity to manage and maintain watershed initiatives.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to evaluate project progress, impact, and sustainability.
- Prepare and submit timely reports, including data analysis and success stories, to stakeholders and funding partners.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with government departments, funding agencies, NGOs, and local authorities for program support and convergence.
- Facilitate partnerships to scale up watershed and NRM initiatives in the region.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, finances, and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related fields.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in watershed program design and execution, with hands-on expertise in technical aspects of NRM.
- Proven track record of managing field teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of watershed principles, soil conservation techniques, and hydrological modeling.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in community mobilization and capacity-building initiatives.
- Familiarity with government schemes and policies related to watershed development.
- Effective communication skills in English and Marathi (preferred).
- Passion for sustainable development and environmental conservation.
- Ability to work in remote field locations and adapt to challenging conditions.
- Proficiency in using GIS tools and other relevant software is an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
- Must have a personal laptop.
- Willingness to engage in extensive fieldwork and travel.
