Better World Initiative (Formerly Genpact Social Impact Fellowship)

Genpact Better World Initiative (BWI) is a highly selective one-year consulting program, in partnership with Piramal Foundation, that gives professionals the opportunity to work on high-priority projects with select non-profits to drive deep social impact. We are looking for driven and highly talented professionals with an innate desire to use their skills for social good.

As a consultant, you will:

  • Work on high-impact transformational projects and create new synergies in the non-profit world
  • Support the creation of an ecosystem within non-profits that promotes continuous improvement
  • Work towards achieving measurable and scalable impact and drive systems at non-profits that leverage process excellence

Roles and responsibilities

  • End-to-end project ownership and driving project outcomes
  • Facilitate with non-profit staff to solve their strategic objectives through transformational thinking
  • Develop commitment across all involved teams and facilitate buy-in from all important stakeholders
  • Deployment of Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking tools, analytics, and technology as per the needs of the project
  • Education and experience
  • Graduate/postgraduate degree in Development studies /Social work/Public Policy
  • Full-time work experience between 12 to 16 years, preferably in the social sector or in process transformation, technology, consulting, analytics or project management
  • Prior experience in thematic areas of Education / Livelihood / Health / Skilling will be preferred
  • Green Belt/Black Belt Lean Six Sigma/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added expertise

  • Ability to conduct secondary research around the project assigned
  • Ability to engage senior management and have strong influencing skills with clarity of thought
  • Work in diverse teams and ambiguous situations, while managing multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, fluency in English and Hindi/regional languages
  • Self-motivated, compassionate, and focused individual with good strategy and execution skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Stakeholder management, change management, and aptitude for data and analytics
  • Proficient in MS Office
