Position Overview

BharatCares is looking for enthusiastic and community-oriented Community Mobilisers to support the implementation of Skilling & Livelihoods Projects. The role involves mobilizing beneficiaries, supporting enterprise development, facilitating market linkages, coordinating with government departments and local stakeholders, and ensuring effective implementation of project activities at the grassroots level.

The ideal candidate should have strong community engagement skills and a passion for creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community Mobilisation & Beneficiary Engagement

• Mobilize youth, women, and community members for skilling and livelihood initiatives.
• Conduct community meetings, awareness campaigns, household visits, and beneficiary identification.
• Build strong relationships with local communities, SHGs, village leaders, and community institutions.
• Facilitate beneficiary enrolment and participation in project activities.

2. Livelihood & Enterprise Development

• Support beneficiaries in establishing and strengthening micro-enterprises and livelihood activities.
• Guide beneficiaries on business planning, enterprise development, and income-generation opportunities.
• Facilitate market linkages, buyer connections, and access to government livelihood schemes.
• Support entrepreneurship development through regular mentoring and follow-up.

3. Project Implementation

• Execute project activities as per approved plans and timelines.
• Support the Project Manager in implementing field interventions effectively.
• Assist in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project modules.
• Identify implementation challenges and proactively support resolution.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with government departments at district, block, and village levels for smooth project implementation.
• Liaise with NGOs, social enterprises, local institutions, and implementation partners.
• Build strong relationships with Panchayats, community organizations, and other stakeholders.

5. Research, Monitoring & Documentation

• Conduct baseline surveys, field assessments, and primary research as required.
• Monitor project progress and collect beneficiary data.
• Maintain project documentation, attendance records, activity reports, and beneficiary databases.
• Prepare weekly and monthly field reports, success stories, and case studies.

6. Reporting & Communication

• Support documentation and client reporting requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager regarding field updates and project progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely execution of project deliverables.

7. Other Responsibilities

• Support project events, workshops, training sessions, and community campaigns.
• Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Agriculture, Community Development, Sociology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in community mobilisation, livelihood promotion, skilling, rural development, CSR, or NGO projects.
• Fresh candidates with relevant internships or field exposure may also be considered.

Skills Required

• Strong community mobilisation and communication skills.
• Understanding of livelihood promotion and entrepreneurship development.
• Experience working with rural communities, SHGs, or youth groups.
• Stakeholder coordination and relationship management.
• Basic documentation and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently in field locations.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in Skilling, Livelihoods, Entrepreneurship, or Women Empowerment Projects.
• Knowledge of government livelihood schemes and rural development programs.
• Fluency in the local language (Marathi for Surgana / Hindi for Baihar-Balaghat).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned project area.
