Job Position

Data Analyst – Dashboard & Insights

Location: Ahmedabad
Salary: INR 5.50 LPA to 7.20 LPA (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst – Dashboard & Insights who will be responsible for transforming program, CSR, project, and organizational data into interactive dashboards, visual reports, and actionable insights.

The role will work closely with internal teams such as CSR Programs, Consulting, Knowledge Management, Finance, HR, and Leadership to understand reporting requirements, organize data, develop dashboards, and ensure that decision-makers have access to accurate and meaningful information.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Power BI/Tableau, SQL, Excel, data visualization, data cleaning, and dashboard development, along with the ability to understand business and social-impact datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development & Data Visualization

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards for CSRBOX's internal and external reporting requirements.
• Build dashboards covering areas such as CSR projects, beneficiaries, program performance, geography, budgets, outcomes, impact indicators, and organizational KPIs.
• Develop dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar BI tools.
• Create intuitive visualizations, charts, maps, KPIs, scorecards, and drill-down reports.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, responsive, and suitable for both management and operational teams.

Data Management & Analysis

• Collect, clean, validate, transform, and structure data from multiple sources.
• Work with large datasets from Excel, Google Sheets, databases, APIs, CRM/HRIS systems, and program management platforms.
• Identify data inconsistencies, missing values, duplicates, and quality issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
• Develop automated data pipelines and refresh mechanisms wherever feasible.

SQL & Database Management

• Write SQL queries to extract, join, filter, aggregate, and analyze data.
• Work with relational databases and maintain structured datasets required for reporting.
• Support the creation and optimization of data models for dashboarding.
• Ensure appropriate data definitions and consistency across different reports and dashboards.

Business & Program Insights

• Translate business and program requirements into meaningful data solutions.
• Work with program teams to identify relevant KPIs and impact indicators.
• Generate insights from CSR and social-impact data to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify trends in project performance, beneficiary reach, fund utilization, geographic coverage, and other relevant indicators.
• Present analytical findings in a simple and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Reporting & MIS

• Develop recurring MIS reports and management dashboards.
• Automate repetitive reporting processes to reduce manual effort.
• Establish standardized reporting formats and data definitions.
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, KPIs, data sources, and calculation methodologies.
• Ensure timely delivery of periodic reports to internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business, program, consulting, finance, HR, and leadership teams to understand their data requirements.
• Conduct requirement-gathering discussions and convert requirements into dashboard specifications.
• Train relevant team members on dashboard usage and interpretation.
• Provide ongoing support and improvements based on user feedback.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, Power Query, and data analysis.
• Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and dashboard architecture.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design principles.
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Good understanding of data quality and validation processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with Google BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar databases.
• Experience working with APIs and automated data integrations.
• Familiarity with GIS/geospatial visualization and map-based dashboards.
• Experience working with CSR, ESG, sustainability, NGO, development-sector, or social-impact datasets.
• Understanding of CSR reporting, SDGs, impact measurement, or program monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, MIS, dashboard development, or data visualization.
• Candidates with demonstrated experience in independently developing and managing Power BI/Tableau dashboards from raw data to final insights will be preferred.
