Job Description
We are looking for a District Coordinator to support the implementation of the Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) project for Zero Dose children. The role involves coordinating immunization sessions, stakeholder collaboration, data management, and mentoring block-level teams.
Job Responsibilities
Program Implementation:
- Support the State Program Manager and District Health Team in executing the Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) project for Zero Dose children.
- Facilitate the planning and execution of immunization sessions in VHSNDs/camps in coordination with key stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with District/Sub-Divisional Administration, Health Department, JEEViKA, ICDS, Panchayati Raj, and development partners for effective program delivery.
- Build and maintain partnerships to enhance program visibility and impact.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain and update the Zero Dose line list, with a specific focus on intervention blocks and villages.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of program activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Capacity Building and Mentorship:
- Mentor Block Coordinators and health teams in microplanning, social mobilization, and resource mapping to strengthen grassroots implementation.
- Assist in building the capacity of stakeholders, PRIs, and community influencers to enhance immunization outreach and coverage.
Coordination and Supervision:
- Organize and lead District/Regional Coordination Meetings and workshops to review progress and strengthen program capacities.
- Provide supportive supervision to block-level teams, ensuring adherence to program guidelines and objectives.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor immunization camp schedules, community mobilization efforts, logistics, and compliance with operational guidelines.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess program implementation and provide ongoing guidance to teams.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with local media, influencers, youth groups, and community leaders to promote immunization and encourage community participation.
- Support the development and dissemination of SBCC materials to amplify program messages and encourage behavior change.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Document success stories, best practices, and innovative approaches to showcase program impact and learnings.
- Share insights and case studies with the State Program Team for broader knowledge dissemination.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to program implementation and develop corrective actions to address challenges effectively.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s Degree preferably in Public Health / / Social Work/Social Science/ Media and Communication / Rural development / any other related field from a reputed university / institute.
- The candidate should have 5–7 years of experience managing district-level health or immunization programs, preferably with the Government of Bihar.
- A background of 4–5 years in program management is essential, including expertise in planning and monitoring community interventions.
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC), along with proven training and assessment skills.
- Familiarity with national and state health programs is required, with additional experience in public health emergencies being desirable.
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, analyze reports, and engage with grassroots organizations.
