About the Organization

HelpAge India is a secular, not-for-profit organisation in India, registered under the Societies’ Registration Act of 1860. Set up in 1978, the organisation works for ‘the cause and care of disadvantaged older persons to improve their quality of life’. It runs healthcare, agecare, livelihood, disaster response and awareness initiatives throughout the country & advocates strongly for the elder cause. It became the first and only Indian organization to be honoured with the ‘UN Population Award 2020’ for its exemplary work in the field of ageing and population issues, and earlier in 2014, has been the recipient of ‘Vayoshreshtha Samman’ by Government of India, as an institution working for senior citizens.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social services, healthcare coordination, or community work, preferably in elderly care.
• Prior experience in caregiver supervision, program coordination, or beneficiary relationship management is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and beneficiary centered care.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management; familiarity with reporting tools is an asset.
• Knowledge of local community resources and support services is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the cluster/region as required.
