Job Position: Manager CSR & Partnerships

Location: New Delhi

Salary: INR 8.40 LPA to 11.40 LPA (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview:

The Manager – CSR & Partnerships will lead the PMU's partnerships and resource mobilization agenda from New Delhi, serving as the primary interface with central and state government agencies, agribusinesses, farmer institutions, corporates, financial institutions, philanthropic foundations, development partners, and knowledge institutions. The role will drive strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement to advance priorities in sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient farming, watershed and natural resource management, agri-value chains, farmer livelihoods, and rural development. The Manager will represent the PMU at national forums, facilitate cross-sector convergence, and support the design and implementation of collaborative programmes that strengthen agricultural ecosystems and promote inclusive rural growth. This is a senior, outcomes-oriented role suited to a professional who can effectively engage with government stakeholders, corporate CSR and sustainability leaders, development agencies, research institutions, and grassroots implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Mobilisation & Corporate Partnerships

  • Own the annual CSR/philanthropy mobilisation track, building and managing a qualified pipeline of corporates, PSUs, and foundations aligned to PM-DDKY priorities.
  • Lead the mapping of corporate and foundation giving portfolios, producing actionable funder intelligence briefs on thematic priorities, geographies, and decision pathways.
  • Drive high-value donor conversations end-to-end, from first outreach and pitch to due diligence, structuring, and closure, leveraging CEO/Director-level advisory support for conversion.
  • Develop proposals/concept notes per year, ensuring quality, alignment with funder mandates, and timely submission.

NPO Capacity Building

  • Design and lead capacity-building sessions for NPOs on CSR readiness, compliance (Companies Act Section 135 and CSR Rules), proposal development, and MEL fundamentals.
  • Curate and mentor a cohort of investment-ready NPOs in PM-DDKY districts, matching them with mapped funders with aligned priorities in the agriculture domain.

Thought Leadership & Convenings

  • Anchor the design and delivery of national roundtables/showcases and micro-roundtables/workshops, including agenda design, speaker curation, and government/UNDP participation.
  • Lead post-event follow-up, lead generation, and status reporting to convert convening momentum into funding conversations.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Serve as the PMU's primary liaison with UNDP, relevant ministries/departments, and district administrations.
  • Track and report progress against KPIs on a quarterly basis; contribute to donor reports, knowledge products, and internal reviews.
  • Guide and review the work of the Senior Associate and coordinate inputs from the communications and design team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in development studies, rural management, public policy, business administration, or a related field (IRMA/TISS/APU/IIFM or equivalent preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in CSR advisory, corporate/foundation fundraising, partnership development, or programme management in the development sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of mobilising CSR or philanthropic funding
  • Strong understanding of the Indian CSR regulatory landscape (Section 135, Schedule VII, CSR Rules) and of agriculture/rural livelihoods programming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; strong proposal-writing and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as per requirement to project districts and partner locations.

  • Strong analytical and funder-intelligence orientation; ability to convert research into pitches
  • Facilitation and training skills for NPO capacity-building settings
