Established as a Charitable Trust on 27 November, 1969, WWF India set out with the aim of reducing the degradation of Earth’s natural environment and building a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. In 1987, the organization changed it's name from the World Wildlife Fund to World Wide Fund for Nature India. With five decades of extensive work in the sector, WWF India today is one of the leading conservation organizations in the country.
Job Description
- Identify and convert new corporate partnership opportunities to increase organization’s reach and raise funds to support organization conservation initiatives in the country.
- Identify target companies WWF-India can engage with based on organization’s corporate engagement policy. Research on the interests of the target companies, their CSR budgets and the kind of projects they are likely to support. Thereafter, acquire and convert the prospects into partnerships.
- Identify deepening opportunities with existing corporate partnerships and convert those opportunities into diverse engagements with the corporate as per WWF India’s suite of engagement products/offerings.
- Present a comprehensive basket of product offerings to Prospects/Existing Partners.
- Play an active role in achieving individual and team targets.
- Contribute to development of relevant fundraising communication materials - concept notes, power point presentations, proposals, reports, newsletters etc.
- In tandem with the internal teams, initiate, plan and execute campaigns, engagement activities with corporates.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Graduate in any stream from a recognized University.
- Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Marketing shall be an advantage.
- 5-8 years of work experience.
- Work Experience in a Development Sector organization will be an advantage but not a constraining factor for the right candidate.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to represent WWF India.
- Highly performance oriented and target driven. Ability to work in a team.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Good understanding of CSR, and Wildlife Conservation and Nature Conservation issues.
- Ability and understanding to work as per WWF India’s corporate engagement guidelines.
- Ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
- Strong Business Development skills. Prior fundraising experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong Relationship Management Skills.
- Good Networking skills and ability to build and manage professional relationships.
- Ability to influence & persuade Prospects.
- Ability to identify deepening opportunities with existing corporates and convert those opportunities into diverse engagements as per WWF India’s suite of corporate engagement products/offerings.
- Ability to take ownership and having a pro-active attitude with initiative taking ability.
- Ability to work as a team with various departments and resolve challenges.
- Ability to multi-task and take up challenges.
