Job Description
This role is part of the Youth Program team, working closely with other members of the Quest Alliance team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of projects. The role involves supporting partner organizations in program delivery, maintaining quality standards, managing teams, and overseeing work with VTIs, CSO initiatives, and government departments to facilitate knowledge sharing and resource transfer across the western region.
Job Responsibilities
Program Operations and Oversight:
- Provide operational oversight for all initiatives with VTIs, CSOs, and government bodies in the western region.
- Develop and implement operational plans to meet program objectives, quality standards, and targets.
- Build a robust CSO network in the western region.
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager to review processes and materials regularly.
- Identify and mitigate potential program risks, integrating risk management into program reviews and designs.
- Ensure MyCareer and gender inclusion components are seamlessly integrated into the program.
Data Management and Monitoring:
- Oversee regional data management for VTIs, ensuring timely availability and analysis of data.
- Ensure effective use of monitoring tools by the team for accurate reporting.
- Support baseline, end-line, and other assessments in collaboration with the M&E focal point.
- Submit monitoring reports promptly, documenting program processes, case studies, and impacts.
- Analyze data to inform planning and review meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VTIs, CSOs, and government bodies to support program implementation.
- Organize and lead capacity-building activities for VTIs in collaboration with the Training & Content Manager.
- Address additional support needs of stakeholders, ensuring adjustments for effective engagement.
- Develop and implement innovative VTI engagement and retention strategies.
- Support VTIs with placement events and career connect activities.
Team Management:
- Manage Program Officers, Associates, Facilitators, and Fellows, providing clear performance objectives and development plans.
- Mentor, coach, and support team members for professional growth and effective delivery.
- Ensure team members collaborate to share learning and skills.
- Lead recruitment, induction, and onboarding processes for new team members.
- Coordinate training and capacity-building initiatives for staff as needed.
- Uphold organizational HR policies, ensuring staff welfare in collaboration with the People team.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Ensure timely delivery of monitoring data and support assessments.
- Update student data in the center database and communicate program progress through regular reports.
- Use M&E tools for accurate reporting, including case studies and photographs.
- Document and share success stories of centers, trainers, and students.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Awareness of gender sensitivity and inclusion in education, skills, and the workplace.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Passion for addressing the challenges faced by India’s youth in education and employment.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Excellent judgment, English communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Quest Alliance values and willingness to travel locally and nationally.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
